Solar eclipse is a natural phenomenon and occurs in nature after some less or more time. The total solar eclipse happen usually after 18 months. Total solar eclipse is to be seen from North America on April 8, 2024. The masses are excited to watch the the celestial event. It will be visible only in some states of USA. The duration of total solar eclipse will be about 4 minutes.


Solar eclipse should not been gazed with bare eyes. It can lead to permanent damage of eyes. NASA has given some precautionary measures to save people so that they don't look at sun directly. There are special glasses available in market to enjoy the natural event. Looking at the sun through these special glasses will help save the eyes.



A solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the earth and the sun. The sunlight is blocked to reach the earth and the sun appears like a black ball. The solar eclipse that will be seen on April 8, 2024 is a total solar eclipse. It means that the moon will completely cover the disk of the sun. Only the outer layer of sun will be visible that is also known as the 'ring of the fire'.


Solar eclipse and lunar eclipse are natural celestial phenomenon. In some ancient cultures, these natural phenomenon were attributed to some supernatural and superstitious causes. Others believed that sun was being eaten away by a dragon. They made loud noises and shrieks to ward off the dragon.
The solar eclipse will be seen at different times in different states. Here are the timing for the solar eclipse to be seen :



Dallas: Partial eclipse begins at 12:23 p.m. CT; totality begins at 1:40 p.m. CT; totality ends at 1:44 p.m. CT; partial eclipse ends at 3:02 p.m. CT.

Little Rock, Arkansas: Partial eclipse begins at 12:33 p.m. CT; totality begins at 1:51 p.m. CT; totality ends at 1:54 p.m. CT; partial eclipse ends at 3:11 p.m. CT.

Cleveland: Partial eclipse begins at 1:59 p.m. ET; totality begins at 3:13 p.m. ET; totality ends at 3:17 p.m. ET; partial eclipse ends at 4:29 p.m. ET.

Buffalo, New York: Partial eclipse begins at 2:04 p.m. ET; totality begins at 3:18 p.m. ET; totality ends at 3:22 p.m. ET; partial eclipse ends at 4:32 p.m. ET.

Lancaster, New Hampshire: Partial eclipse begins at 2:16 p.m. ET; totality begins at 3:27 p.m. ET; totality ends at 3:30 p.m. ET; partial eclipse ends at 4:38 p.m. ET.
